Tina Arena : Just Me
By: Cameron Adams
Herald Sun Melbourne
If it hadn't already been taken, and were the actual
title not so appropriate, this could have been called
Listen Without Prejudice.
In particular, Symphony Of Life will shatter any preconceptions
of Tina Arena.
It's a subtle but overpowering electronic storm (a la
Madonna's Frozen) that creates a passive attack on the
senses - her finest moment to date.
Refusing to be pigeonholed as our Celine, Tina takes
risks with Just Me that she didn't have to take. And
there's one ballad, but what a ballad. Typical of the
ripped-from-her-diary lyrics throughout, You Made Me
Find Myself is so honest you'll feel like a voyeur.
