++ November 26th:

  • "Just Me" slides down to # 21 in the Australian charts from # 7 last week, just one point ahead of Natalie Imbruglia's new album...
    as for "Soul Mate # 9", it has fallen out of the Top 50 in Australia...

    anyway, in the Australasian charts:
    "Just Me" falls to # 4 this week after debuting at # 2 last week...
    and "Soul Mate # 9" stands still at # 9, what a coincidence, couldn't it have been called "Soul Mate # 1" :P

    the last chart i got is the HMV Australia chart, where "Just Me" rises to # 5 ...

  • Tina Arena is featured in the December edition of VOGUE Australia Magazine...
  • Tina will be performing live at ARQ club in Sydney tonight, showcasing her new album...
  • Tina performed at the Rumba concert in Sydney on Nov. 24th, performing 4 songs...

++ November 19th:

  • "Just Me" enters the Australian charts at #7 , the album has gone Gold already...
  • "Soul Mate #9" falls to #43 in the Australian charts this week...
  • Tina won an Award for her interest in "Burn" at the recent BMI Country Awards 2001.
    BMI is a non-profit performing rights organization that represents 300,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in America. It covers works in all genres of music from America and around the world.
    BMI Songwriters are awarded each year by category. Winners are selected from the entire BMI catalog, based on the amount of performances during the award period.
  • Tina performed at the Rumba concert in Melbourne on Nov. 17th, and will also be performing at the Rumba concert in Sydney Nov. 24th...

  • "Just Me" is officially released in Australia today, so what are you waiting for, rush down to the nearest record store an dget it ;)
  • "Soul Mate #9" rises to #42 in the Australian charts this week...

  • "Soul Mate #9" falls to #28 in the Australian charts :( I hope coming weeks see a rise in the charts...
  • The launch of Tina's new album was last Thursday, it was an exclusive showcase gig in Melbourne in which Tina performed for about 150 people from the media field primarily.
    Tina performed 5 songs from the new album which are:
    1. Soulmate #9
    2. Dare You To Be Happy: Uptempo, Dance.
    3. You Made Me Find Myself: Beautiful Ballad.
    4. Tangled: Experimental, somehow like Madonna's "Bedtime Story"
    5. Symphony Of Life: Uptempo, Dance.
    Tina also performed the Drum & Bass Mix of Sorrento Moon...

  • Release Date for Australia is still set to be November 12th, with a release in the same day or the day after in France. The French release is said to be a 2 CD set with the 2nd CD featuring 5 French songs. The rest of Europe, Asia and the US will get the album early 2002...

++ October 9th:

  • Tina's "Soul Mate #9" debuted at #22 in Australian charts yesterday, anyway hopefully with more promotion and with Tina's great performance at the ARIA's it will climb higher in the coming weeks...
    The single is at #10 in HMV's Top 10 singles list and has been getting some great feedback...
  • The launch of Tina's new album is this Thursday night, she'll be performing for about 150 people at an exclusive showcase gig in Melbourne.
    The audience itself will be made up of people within the media field primarily.

    Tina sang "Soul Mate #9" Live, it was awesome, and she even danced a bit :) in short, it was perfect...
  • The new album is confirmed to be called "Just Me" and it should be out on November 12th in Australia, and either the same day or the day after in France...
    There are 11 English songs on this album, and Tina has recorded 3 French songs for it too which have been written by David Hallyday, Pascal Obispo et Jacques Veneruso...

++ September 6th:

  • "Soul Mate #9", Tina's new single was released to radio stations in Australia on September 3rd as scheduled. The song will be available at record stores on October 1st...
    It seems that the album is still untitled, so the "Just Me" title may have been a rumour...
    There have been several articles in Australian newspapers related to Tina and her new material, all of them saying how great this next album is gonna be and how different its style is...

++ August 25th:

  • Tina's first single off her upcoming album "Just Me", will be a song called "Soul Mate #9" due out for release October 1st in Australia, the single will be going to radio in the first couple of days of September though...
    According to my source Damien Nicholas (thanx man!) who has been lucky enough to hear the song, he says that It is quite a departure from the sound of the last two albums with it being funkier and different...
    The video for this song is being shot these days in Melbourne...
        
  • Tina's next album due out this year will be called "Just me", production of the album is mainly by Nile Rodgers who will be steering it in a contemporary direction leaning towards the silky funk of Jill Scott and Alicia Keys. Aboard the team too is UK producer Peter Vetesse who Tina worked with on some songs.
    From what it seems, this album will definitely be a shift in direction and style for Tina towards a more funky and disco feel, and i for one can't wait to get my hands on it...
       
  • Tina will also be working on some French songs that she will most probably include on the French release of her new album...

++ June 1st:

  • Tina is included in a current ad on Australian TV for Divas. She is included with names like Janis Joplin, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Carol King to name a few. The purpose of the ad is to buy CD's for under $15 (Australian) for a limited time. The CD they are featuring for Tina is the Australian version of "In Deep"...

++ May 7th:

  • Tina attended a spring-summer Versace launch at the Crown Casino in Australia/Melbourne.
       
  • Unfortunately, Tina didn't win any awards at the World Music Awards this year. 

++ April 21st:

  • Tina is featured in the latest Melbourne Herald Sun in an article that states how much Australian artists would get for a private performance, our Tina would get $30,000 ...
    In the same paper there is an interview with Ricky Martin in which Tina is mentioned in a part that was about the duet they were supposed to do for "The Mask Of Zorro" that never happened and which was done with Marc Anthony instead. 

++ April 20th:

  • Tina is featured in the latest edition of New Idea (Australian Magazine) in an article to raise awareness of Breast Cancer.
      
  • In Deep falls out of the Top 150 in France after an astonishing 92 weeks period.

  • In Deep still hanging in the French charts, its already been there for 91 weeks now, and it stands at #133 ...
       
  • Jo Dee Messina's cover of Tina's song "Burn" lands a place on the soundtrack of Sylvester Stallone's new movie "Driven", this song has already been released as a single and has enjoyed very good chart success in the US charts...
       
  • Jessica Andrews, a new teen pop singer has released a cover version of "Show Me Heaven" on her album, this song was also covered by Tina and released on the US release of "Don't Ask". Tina's version is Song of this week, so check it out and download it now, you'll love it ...
       
  • Yet another cover of a Tina Arena song, this time its by country singer Pam Tillis, the song she covers is "If I Didn't Love You" ...
       
  • The Tina Arena Biography competition is over, and the winning biography has now been published as the sites main biography, to know who won, go to the biography section.

++ March 23rd:

  • Tina is the Ambassador of the Melbourne Fashion Festival, March 19-25.
       
  • MX Magazine, a local Melbourne magazine that is handed out for free at railway stations published a picture of Tina and her new boyfriend Michael Angel, up to now, there is no further info regarding this issue, but if anything comes up, u'll be the first to know.
       
  • Tina was interviewed on a show called Rove Live Tonight on March 20th, it wasn't that long, the talk was about Tina being the Ambassador for the Melboure Fashion Festival, her song writing and the success of Jo Dee Messina's cover of "Burn", The Mask Of Zorro, and her career in France...
       
  • In Deep shot up 44 places to make its way back into the French charts at No. 74 ...

++ February 3rd:

  • Tina is going to be a special guest at Melbourne's fashion week, March 19-25.

  • Tina is in the latest edition of "New Idea" magazine in Australia, the article's title is "Tina Finds Love Again" referring to her new French boyfriend Vincent. Its also mentioned in the article that Tina will be traveling to the US in February to start work on her new cd.

  • "Souvenirs" fell off the Australian Top 50 Albums chart this week.
    The album has been certified Gold in Australia.

++ December 28th:

  • In 'Australian Style' Magazine Jan 2001 edition, Tina says that she has written a pop song with Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet fame & that they are demo-ing it as a possibility for her new album! 
    Nov 2000 News on Gary's official homepage also state that he is writing material for Tina...
